Privacy
What this site collects, what your browser keeps, and which outside services it uses. Last updated October 28, 2026.
The short version
This site has no accounts, no forms, and no advertising or tracking cookies of its own. It doesn't collect your name or email unless you choose to email Dr. Hernández-Laroche or the site's creator, Jean Segura.
What your browser keeps
To work well, the site saves a few small notes in your own browser: the language you chose, a copy of the latest news and events so pages load faster, and your cookie choice. They stay on your device and are not sent to us. You can delete them at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser.
Outside services
Some parts of the page load from other companies, which receive your device's internet address when they do:
- Google Sheets, for the announcement, news, and events.
- Flickr, for photos of El Centro events taken by USC Upstate.
- Cloudflare, which hosts the site and keeps standard server records for security.
- Facebook and Instagram, only if you allow social media posts. Then selected public Facebook posts and any Instagram posts in the news load, and those companies may set their own cookies.
Links to Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, USC Upstate, Google Maps, and other sites follow those sites' own privacy policies.
Your cookie choice
Pages that offer social media posts ask whether you want to allow them. These posts stay blocked until you agree. To change your choice, use Cookie settings at the bottom of any page. If your browser cannot save the choice, it applies only to the current page.
If you email Dr. Hernández-Laroche, your message goes to her USC Upstate account and is handled under USC Upstate's policies. If you email Jean Segura, the site's creator, your message goes to his Segura's Solutions email. Messages are used only to answer you.
